Berry To Lead Gannett Fleming’s Energy Valuation And Rate Services
Bryan Berry, CEM, has joined Gannett Fleming as a vice president for the Valuation & Rate (V&R) Business Line, leading its decarbonization and alternative energy consulting service offerings.
He brings more than two decades of experience in alternative energy, carbon emissions reduction, sustainability, and mechanical engineering focused on:
- Decarbonization.
- Renewable fuels, including electricity.
- Clean energy.
- Energy efficiency, including renewable electricity.
- Electrification of vehicles and fleets, including charging and emissions reductions.
A Decarbonization Expert
Berry’s areas of focus include energy innovation, decarbonization planning and strategy, and renewable energy implementation. In his role with the V&R Business Line, he will assist clients, including owners of energy infrastructure and consumers of energy, in their efforts to efficiently and economically reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
He spent nearly 11 years at the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority, most recently as the director of research and development. In this role, he directed investments toward developing and commercializing cutting-edge clean energy innovation for transportation, buildings, smart grid, and renewable segments. Berry also oversaw the development of innovation and research programs in support of New York’s Clean Energy Fund.

Berry will lead the firm’s new Saratoga Springs, NY, office. He earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in new venture development from the University at Albany and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College. He has been active in the Association of Energy Engineers and is a certified energy manager (CEM).
