Gannett Fleming joint venture firm Transit Capital Partners (TCP), in partnership with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), recently awarded Yessenia Nicacio-Rosales the $5,000 TCP-CTA Transfer Scholarship at the City Colleges of Chicago-Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, Illinois. The City Colleges of Chicago Foundation administers the scholarship, and it is made possible by sponsors TCP and CTA.

She is the fourth student honored with the scholarship. Applicants must be second-year undergraduate students in a science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics (STEM) field at a four-year college or university.
The scholarship provides second-year college students with learning opportunities for STEM education regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. A student pursuing a career in the STEM field will get real-world experience and a chance to expand their professional network with the overall goal of improving accessibility to STEM initiatives and encouraging diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
