Our dedicated internship program provides learning and career development opportunities for college-level students to gain real-life work experience and preparation for the potential of a professional career with Gannett Fleming. We designed the internship experience to create opportunities for our interns to learn and grow while developing long-lasting relationships. Our investment and commitment to providing a robust experience involves a deep understanding, intentional preparation, and effective execution of each program component.

Custom Work Plans with Real-World Experience

Each intern partners with their manager to develop a work plan and set SMART goals. This roadmap empowers you to take an active role in shaping and achieving program objectives.

FuGen Buddy Program

Led by our longest-standing employee resource group (ERG), Future Generations at Gannett Fleming (FuGen), our Buddy Program pairs each intern with a mentor who provides encouragement, advice, and insight.

Networking Opportunities

Relationship building is an essential component of the internship experience. Every intern will have an opportunity to engage with employees from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of their careers, from early-career professionals to executive leadership.

  • Our internship program goes beyond the AEC project experience with a commitment to immerse interns in the Gannett Fleming culture and provide real-life experience through meaningful work. We intentionally designed our internship program to maximize opportunities for interns to:

    • Participate in external meetings and events.
    • Build long-lasting relationships.

    As part of our Buddy Program, we strategically pair our interns with a “buddy” who shepherds them through their experience to help them feel a sense of belonging as they navigate the college/workplace transition.
